Welcome

Welcome to St Peter's Church of England Primary School, Folkestone. I hope that this is the beginning of a long and happy relationship with our school.

St Peter's Church of England Primary School sits on top of the East Cliff overlooking Folkestone harbour. The School was established in 1872.

Our aim is to ensure that every child makes the most of his or her abilities and achieves their full potential. Every aspect of your child's character and development is important to us and I hope you will feel encouraged to be a part of our school and to work with us in creating strong partnerships, so that together we may achieve great things for our children.

Children work in classes of 15 children for the first three years that they are in school (Year R - Year 2), which enables us to really get to know your child and give them the very best start to their early education.  In Key Stage 2 we run two classes, a mixed Year 3 and 4 Class and a mixed Year 5 and 6 Class.  This means that your child will have the same Teacher for two years, which enables children and staff to build really strong relationships.

Within our Christian ethos we promote perseverance, thankfulness, respect and responsibility, friendship, compassion and courage both in school and the wider community. As a Church school we aim to educate the whole child, preparing them for the future. At St Peter's every child is special and unique; made in the image of God and deserves the very best start to their education.
