In EYFS and Key Stage 1, we use the Read, Write Inc phonics programme. Where appropriate certain children in Key Stage 2 also participate in RWI lessons or Fast Track intervention.
All children in Year 2-6 have daily Guided Reading Sessions.
Children in Year 1 have daily guided phonic sessions in addition to their Read, Write, Inc sessions.
Children in Year 2-6 have daily spelling sessions.
All children in Year R-6 have a daily Power of Reading session, this is our children's main English lesson where key skills and knowledge for reading and writing are taught through a chosen text.
