At St Peter's we feel that it is really important that children get into the habit of completing home learning, so that they develop some discipline around homework ready for secondary school. The amount of homework the children are expected to complete depends on their age. All children are expected to read regulary at home with an adult. All children are given books that match with their phonic knowledge and reading ability.
A Termly homework sheet is sent home to children in Year 1-6. Children are given a range of tasks and are expected to choose and complete 5 of them over the term.
We also set weekly tasks on Maths Shed and Spelling Shed. Each child has their own login and the class teacher will set 30 games for maths and 15 games for spelling, which we expect children to complete.
